Description: Reading 1 Peter 4:12-19 (CWS)  Christ’s disciples carry a special burden: “The cross by definition is anything that we suffer as a consequence of our relationship with Christ.” While sometimes used with a wider definition, the Christian cross is not the same as the hardships we undergo as consequences of our own sins or the sinful world in which we live. The burdens of the cross are added as blessings: They lead us on toward holy living in the body of Christ.   Speaker J.
