Scripture Lesson:2 Chronicles 33:1-12
Preacher: E. Schultz
Description: Friday, October 9th Reading: 2 Chronicles 33:1-12 Manasseh did terrible, disgusting things during his reign. To sacrifice one’s own children and to defile God’s holy temple; such atrocities deserved death. And God punished Manasseh for his treachery. He removed his crown and replaced it with shackles and a hook in his nose. Yet despite this punishment, God spared his life. And as a result of this chastisement, Manasseh repented and turned back to God. This goes to show that no one can go beyond God’s patience and grace. Even the most fallen creatures, when given the gospel, can and will produce fruits of faith. Speaker: E. Schultz Psalm: WELS Hymnal Project – Psalm 80 (Metrical) - “Show Your Face in Mercy, Lord”
