Scripture Lesson:Matthew 21:33-43
Preacher: Prof. Wordell
Description: Monday, October 5th Reading Matthew 21:33-43 The heart is irate at the blatant disrespect the unfaithful tenants show their master! To not only refuse to provide the fruit which they were employed to share, but to go so far as to disrespect the Landowner’s messengers and even kill the Landowner’s son and dump his lifeless body outside the vineyard is unthinkable. The heart shudders to realize this is the fate of any who find themselves outside of God’s grace. Yet in his mercy, this rejected capstone forms the foundation of our faith. Patiently, through the gift of grace, you and I stand as heirs of the vineyard, and God will patiently work in us through the means of grace to produce in us fruits of faith. Speaker Prof. Wordell Hymns CW 203 – “Lord, Keep Us Steadfast in Your Word” CW 319 – “On My Heart Imprint Your Image” Prayer/Day Almighty God, in your bountiful goodness keep us safe from every evil of body and soul. Make us ready, with cheerful hearts, to do whatever pleases you; through Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
