Description: Reading: Mark 1:12-15 The battle which was fought by our Savior against the devil was a long and difficult one. Lent focuses on that long and difficult road he faced, and it started in the Judean Desert. The temptation of Jesus is the first open struggle against Satan fought for us. The victory is won for us! Let’s focus on Christ’s completed work in our place, his victory on our behalf. Additionally, Jesus preaches a message of repentance. This is the message we take into Lent: the battle in the desert is won! Satan and Temptation have been overcome! Repent and believe this good news!
