Curricular Resources
All training at the seminary is carried out in the light of the gospel under the full authority of the Holy Scriptures as the inspired and inerrant Word of God. All teaching is carried out in conscious harmony with the Lutheran Confessions as the correct understanding of the Bible’s message. To accomplish these goals the seminary includes courses on a variety of biblical and theological subjects.

Style Guides
The seminary uses the SBL Handbook of Style, Second Edition, for all papers and publications. Copies may be purchased from SBL or on Amazon. SBL style is based on the Chicago Manual of Style (view through the Online Resources page), which is authoritative for all issues not defined by the SBL style guide.
The SBL Student Supplement gives instructions for writing academic papers according using SBL style. WLS provides ready-to-use templates for student papers and for the senior thesis project.
