“Thanks for a really nice time back on the hill. It was nice to hide away at ‘Wartburg’ for a bit. Now it’s back to the real world 🙂.”

We received this message from one of the 24 men who came to the seminary for formal continuing education, January 6–10, 2025. Half of those men live within two hours of the seminary; the other twelve came from out of state or out of country. Nine of the participants are in the STM degree program. Two of them are hoping to graduate from the program in May.

Some pastors took two courses. Some pastors took one course and used the extra time for personal study and/or ministry planning. While they were here, the pastors enjoyed their studies, daily chapel, delicious meals in the cafeteria, use of the library and gymnasium, and fellowship with each other and with our seminary family. 

Next year, Lord willing, Winterim for pastors will take place the week of January 5–9, 2026. A week at the Wartburg might refresh you for another season of life and ministry in the real world.
