How can we as pastors, together with the people we serve, make a difference in caring for those who face traumatic events? In this second part of the course we will focus on pastoral care for those who have faced traumatic events of various kinds, but especially interpersonal trauma. A key focus will be the importance of addressing the spiritual damage that may have been done and how to treat it. We will also look at how to make the church a safer place for children through policies, training, and plans that deter perpetrators, encourage survivors, and protect children.
