The Doctrine of the Word
Instructor: Brad Wordell
Description:
“The Word they still shall let remain, nor any thanks have for it.” In this 500th anniversary year of the Reformation, what better topic of study than the Doctrine of the Word! After an exegetical look at key passages, we will survey the history of the struggle to preserve the doctrine. The course will highlight the loss of the doctrine in ELCA, the battle in Missouri, and practical application to us—men of God who want to be equipped for every good work. Students will do daily assigned reading, participate in classroom exercises, do one class presentation, and write one final exam.
