Instructor: E. Allen Sorum
Description:
Participants in this course will explore the hermeneutical genius, the rhetorical majesty, the Christological depth, and the pastoral passion of the author’s message of encouragement to Hebrew Christians. The portions of this letter that we will study isagogically will provide the thematic overview. The pericopes we study exegetically will equip participants for selected sermon texts that occur throughout the Church Year. This letter to the Hebrew Christians also features important insights into pastoral theology. The course’s approach will allow each participant to proceed at his preferred pace and depth.
