Want to take a Fall online course? There are four great ones to choose from!
Summer is evaporating, and pastors are gearing up for the post-summer season with all that it brings.
Let continuing education be a scheduled part of your week. When we talk to seniors at the seminary, we recommend that they reserve one “block” (one morning or one afternoon) each week for their own professional study.
While this block is normally used for informal continuing education (i.e., continuing education that is not for-credit), this same block of time can be used for formal continuing education when courses are being offered.
Online courses are a great way to study “from home” or “from your office.” Take my comments with a grain of salt–I am the director of the program, afterall–but each one of these courses is an amazing chance to grow spiritually and professionally with fellow pastors and an STM instructor:
- Linguistics for Exegetes by Kenneth Cherney
- Pastoral Counsel in Times of Trouble by Joel Russow
- The Age of Lutheran Orthodoxy by Joel Otto
- The Preacher Studies Romans 9-16 by Paul Wendland
Which one most appeals to you? Which one helps you best to serve the people entrusted to your care? Consider enrolling today. You will have to pull the trigger soon. Registration ends on Friday, August 16, 2024.
