Prayers for the Pastor Partners Mentoring Program:

This program, started ten years ago, has been a rich blessing to our new pastors. Please pray for the program. This brief description of the program will inform your prayers. Thank you.

The Director of the Pastor Partners Mentoring Program is Prof. em. John Brenner. The following pastors serve on the Mentor Leadership Team: Rev. Jeremiah Gumm (chairman), Rev. Jon Bergemann, Rev. Rob Guenther, Rev. Daniel Iwinski, Rev. Mike Johnson, Rev. Scott Miller, Rev. Jasper Sellnow.

New graduates assigned to new mission starts or as tutors or world missionaries do not receive a Pastors Partners mentor. The recent graduates being served by our mentors are as follows:

· WLS class of 2022: 22 pastors being served by 22 mentors

· WLS class of 2023: 31 pastors being served by 30 mentors

· WLS class of 2024: 18 pastors being served by 18 mentors

Mentors are appointed for graduates after graduation, and each mentee has the same mentor for three years (unless perhaps the mentor accepts a call to another district). The three-year roadmap for mentoring is Know – Grow – Go. While each mentor-mentee relationship is unique, mentors generally serve their mentee as guide, friend, confidante, encourager, sounding board, and prayer partner. Many young pastors have told us that their mentor helped them to be wise, strong, and resilient and to establish healthy habits in the first years of ministry.

May the Lord continue to bless our young pastors through their mentors!
