The Grow in Grace office is dreaming about many WELS pastors joining us for continuing education classes during the week of January 8-12, 2024, the week of January 15-19, 2024, or for both weeks.

We hope that pastors who live near and far (but especially those who live near—more on that in the next paragraph) will take advantage of this opportunity to study things like Hebrew (communicative language training), the Psalms, Chinese church history, church architecture, bioethics, and the Babylonian period. We are thinking especially about the pastors of the SEW District who do not have their own satellite continuing education events in odd-numbered years. Winterim and on-campus Summer Quarter (in even-numbered years) are more readily available to pastors who live within an hour of the seminary. We hope that you especially will consider attending Winterim 2024 and/or Summer Quarter 2024.

So, are you interested possibly in “walking in a Winterim wonderland”? We hope these two pieces of information will encourage you to join us in January:

• Room and Board plan: For $250 you can stay in the dorm for a week and enjoy 14 meals (Monday through Friday, but not Friday supper) in the cafeteria.
• Audit option: As with the satellite courses in odd-numbered years, we are allowing students to audit courses instead of taking them for credit. This means a reduced workload, but also a reduced cost. The cost for auditing an STM course at Winterim would be $200 per course.
