America has been a fertile ground for the development of a variety of denominations, religious movements, and cults. This course surveys America’s homegrown religions focusing on the historical background, development and main teachings or emphases of each. The course also explores the causes that gave rise to these various movements as well as identifying commonalities and differences among them.
