Scripture Lesson:John 14:1-11
Preacher: Craig Wilke
Description: Monday – John 14:1-11 Jesus’ words were intended to comfort his disciples, as they would soon see him betrayed, beaten, and brutally killed. But as doubt and false hopes clouds his disciples’ minds, his words stirred up questions and requests for further proof: “How can we know the way?” “Show us the Father and that will be enough.” Philip’s words reveal a desire felt in many believers’ hearts – a desire to see more than what God chooses to reveal. But the hidden God reveals himself by hiding himself. Jesus points Thomas and Philip to the only person who reveals the hidden God to us. Jesus points all of us to himself as the way, the truth, and the life. Though we are tempted to see Jesus as only a humble man from Galilee, look closer and see the hidden God. See grace in the flesh – the God of glory and the only true way to salvation.
