Scripture Lesson:Isaiah 11:1-10
Preacher: Tim Priewe
Description: Tuesday – Isaiah 11:1-10 In 586 B.C., the Babylonians were the ax that God used to cut off the line of Jesse and make David’s family tree nothing but a stump. That stump served as a picture of God’s judgement. But from that stump of Jesse came a growing branch; a new and better shoot. This was David’s greater Son, Jesus, who would rule over the new heavens and earth. He would make everything new. In his new kingdom, sin and its evil reign are gone. Grace and peace rule. This new root of Jesse is a banner for all peoples, and his place of rest will be glorious. This root of Jesse brings his grace to all people.
