Each year about 20% of the US population suffers from a mental health disorder. Yet many do not seek treatment. Since pastors are at the front lines, they can help people seek the treatment they need. While pastors are not in a position to offer members mental health treatment, this course will help pastors identify the various mental health disorders, understand the dynamics and treatment used to bring healing, and support those who suffer by providing the necessary spiritual support.
